I’ve always loved music, especially soul - it’s been part of my life since I was a kid. I spent hours in record shops searching for that perfect vinyl and tuning into pirate stations like LWR, Horizon, and TKO, which sparked my passion for collecting and recording music. As a teenager, I took things further and began DJing at local pubs.

I spent hours in record shops searching for that perfect vinyl and tuning into pirate stations like LWR, Horizon, and TKO, which sparked my passion for collecting and recording music. As a teenager, I took things further and began DJing at local pubs. Over time, I worked my way into venues along the Old Kent Road, spinning records and sharing my love for soul with everyone. But when family life took over, my DJing took a back seat for 30 years. In 2023, I was given the opportunity to host my first radio show, so I took the plunge and here we are. After all this time, I’m loving every minute of sharing soul music that truly moves the soul.

Originally from Croydon, my love of music came from listening to my parents and older sister. My mother would housework anything from The Commodores, Fat Larry Band to Barbara Streisand, whilst my dads
taste was everywhere from 50s do-wop right through to ELO with a touch of Teddy Pendergrass thrown in. My sister was the real influence though with her love of 80s soul, Evelyn King, SOS band, Shalamar, Maze. I used to make full use of her collection when she was safely out the way!
I was quite late getting started playing to audiences, it was not 'til the early 90s working in a Bar in Corfu for the summer, (ended up 4yrs!) I then returned to the UK where I had a varied selection of gigs and
residences in and around the Croydon and South London area.
I left the UK in 2000 for a new venture in Spain. It was there I met my partner Stacey whilst DJing, she being the bar maid of course! Stacey originally being from New Zealand we decided to head there in 2006. Ten years and two kids later we returned to Spain to continue our adventure.
I was given the opportunity of a radio slot at Almeria Gold where I currently have a successful Saturday morning soul, funk and boogie show and am now doing a Friday night on our sister station Almeria
Radio called Clublife that returns the listener to classic club anthems and soulful house tunes.
